REQUIREMENTS:
Obtained a bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled in) in Civil or Architectural Engineering with AutoCAD or Revit knowledge. A structural designer at Patera, LLC is responsible, with the oversight of a licensed engineer, for completing building load (snow, wind, etc.) and building element (headers, column, etc.) calculations for specific projects. A designer will assist with creating structural plans and details for construction. As projects move into the construction phase, periodic site visits will be performed to enhance construction and design knowledge with the goal of preparing the individual for the PE (or SE) test if desired. -
REQUIREMENTS:
Obtained an associate’s degree in drafting (with 5+ years of experience or more preferred) with AutoCAD and Revit experience. A structural CAD technician is responsible for setting up and create structural construction documents. The technician will work with structural engineers in the office from preliminary design phase to final construction set. The technician will also be responsible for creating and managing details library and component schedules for efficiency between projects. -
Patera is seeking a full-time or part-time Architectural Draftsperson Intern to become a part of our growing team! We are a small architectural and engineering firm with an ever expanding, satisfied client list. You will work under the direct supervision of licensed architects and engineers. We are willing to train.
Requirements:
MUST have good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Must be actively pursuing a degree in Architectural Drafting/Engineering.
0-5 years experience (willing to train).
Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
Basic understanding of building design and construction materials.
Ability to design ideas into construction documents.
Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
Excellent technical design skills & a keen eye for detail.
Good communication and time management skills.
Ability to work with multiple software programs to coordinate the flow of information.
Ability to communicate engineering requirements.
Ability to provide support and assistance to co-workers as appropriate.
Knowledge of building and structural codes.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
Meeting with architects, engineers, draftsmen and/or designers to review construction documents.
Inputting design specifications into AutoCAD.
Create Construction Documents.
Performing structural calculations for a variety of structural materials.
Preparing, reviewing and revising drawings per engineers’ notes.
Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations/Engineer’s design.
Identifying and communicating potential design issues to the rest of the team.
Preparing both preliminary sketches and detailed work with AutoCAD.
Coordinate and consult with engineers to complete projects.
Collaborate with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings & final CAD designs.
Transform initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software.
Participating in site visits, measuring existing buildings to be re-drawn.

Requirements:
12+ years of relevant experience in Architecture.
Minimum five (5) years experience as a Licensed Architect
Excellent design, computer, technical and graphic skills.
Strong knowledge and proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
Knowledge in 3D programs (Sketchup, Max, Rhino), and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus.
Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail and highly organized.
Self-starter, able to work independently and able to multi-task.

Bachelor's/ Masters of Arts or Science in Architecture.

Minimum of 8 years of United States based experience
Professional Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program
Licensed in the United States, or in process of completing licensure
Proficient in producing high quality architectural drawings utilizing REVIT
Ability to develop technical details and specifications
Competency in all conventional aspects of architecture and ability to perform work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
Thorough understanding in developing projects from Schematic Design through Construction Documents
Ability to investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions to Project Design Architect
Strong independent, self-starting skills as well as willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment to develop and complete projects
Ability to clearly communicate with and coordinate with exterior consultants
Provide Construction Administration support including submittal reviews, addressing questions from the field, and completing site observations
Willingness to contribute actively with a collaborative team
Responsibilities:
Develops projects in coordination with client requirements, specifications and goals.
Capable of communicating project ideas using sketches, and computer design tools such as 3D modeling, AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), SketchUp, Abode Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
Works with the Project Managers to prepare design development drawings and produce documents through to the construction documents phase.
Works collaboratively with office staff.
Coordinates and maintains project files including correspondence, drawings, and other relevant materials associated with projects.
Assists during the construction administration in the review and processing of shop drawings and approvals of material samples.
Strong knowledge of design and construction methods.
Outstanding knowledge of construction drawing standards, and code compliance.
Oversees code compliance with applicable codes, standards and guidelines. Informs, directs and trains interns relative to these.
Adheres to and implements corporate contract documentation procedures and standards as they best apply.
Responsible for all aspects of construction administration including but not limited to shop drawing/submittal review and coordination, attending project meetings, periodic monitoring of construction sites, interfacing with contractors and clients.
Other examples of Responsibilities:
The Project Architect will work alongside Project Design Architects and Project Managers to develop and enhance the design by leading the production of documents through the use of REVIT, SketchUp, and other design software.
Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support throughout the entire project.
Serves as a subject matter expert on specialized systems.
Liaises with project management, other architects, and consultants.
Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects.
Collaborates with team members on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
